Catmon Fiesta in El Segundo, CA
February 5, 2011

I came across a blog about Catmon’s history,
“The name Catmon is claimed to be after of a tree, During the early period of Spanish regime in Cebu, the leaders of the Conquistadores once asked the natives who were sheltering under a big catmon tree watching their carabaos enjoying the cool noon bath, as to what is the name of the place. Thinking that the Spaniards was asking for the name of the tree answered ,”Catmon”. Thus the town was organized in 1835 and named Catmon.”
The Catmonanons of Southern California celebrated the fiesta to honor their patron saint, San Guillermo de Aquitania in El Segundo California and the mass was by Fr. Ven Ilano. The event became more enjoyable because of the warm reception provided by the members of this community. Catmonanons are truly heartwarming, hospitable, friendly, and simply wonderful.
Thank you to the officers and board members of this organization  for inviting BisyaBulletin.com to this joyous fiesta celebration!
